Co-op #FuneralMusic

Challenge

Encourage audiences to talk about their own death, as part of a campaign with Co-op Funeralcare, a difficult topic that over two thirds of people in the UK find difficult and will avoid at all costs.

Execution

The campaign centred on people picking and talking about their own funeral music, songs that they would play at their own funeral. Producing a series of videos, focussing on individual stories bringing an emotional touch to the survey data gathered by Co-op. Inspiring others to have tough conversations about what music will play at their own funeral.

Result

The campaign saw broad online coverage, the videos playing a key part in driving conversation around the topic with a 20%+ increase in engagement against the benchmark of the brands previous content.
